Abs or not to abs

Abs or not to abs

I want abs. I’m not ashamed to admit it. Can’t say I care if you think that it’s vain. I mention this because I’ve had friends who tell me that they feel a little bit shy about admitting they want abs too. Abs or not to abs – if its a goal for you then, well..I think you should enjoy the pursuit.

If you want to you should, if it’s of value to you then you must!

Abs or not to abs, I personally though think that it is not a vain and silly goal even though many might believe it to be. Is it a meaningful goal? This is how i’m going to answer that – It’s not a one size fits all goal now is it!? Some of my friends who are on their fitness journey aren’t even considering or caring about abs. They do not want or need aesthetics, because that’s just not their goal – I still love em for it!

Is it a focus to me to get abs? No of course not! Do I want them abs? yes I do. My focus is to age more functionally through exercise and diet. And, if abs are a by product, well than you know i’m in!

Acknowledge Your Choices

What’s not ok is anyone imposing their own limited views on others goal especially when its of family and friends. Furthermore, remember that other people should not need to adopt the same goals as yours, and for this post I want to empower people to reach any goals they PERSONALLY have. Regardless, of what ‘everyone’ says or think!

We should never downplay what someone else may value and more importantly I think never downplay your own passions. Again, I’m here to tell you…. there is NOTHING wrong with having an aesthetic goal.

Life is about taking on new challenges. Pushing ourselves to be the best version. The healthiest, the fittest version – Physically, mentally and spiritually. Life is about constantly learning and growing…that’s the fun of it…but guess what there is ALWAYS new goals we can conquer.

Whatever we personally deem meaningful IS MEANINGFUL. If you don’t want abs? FABULOUS! If you do FANTASTIC!

Moving Forward

Do not be embarrassed by your goal(s).

Love that life gives you the opportunity to pursue your best, healthiest, happiest self whatever that means to you! But don’t shame someone who have different goals than yours. Their goal is valid too.

If you want my recipe for faster results, check out my previous posts on losing weight the healthy way and download meal plan i’ve created. You do not want negativity creeping into your thoughts and you definitely never want to regret not pursuing a dream. But, when you’re not sure of what else to say, express it with t-shirts. I invite you to check out my latest t-shirt design and have fun expressing yourself with them. This expressive t-shirt design allows you to say what you’re thinking without actually saying it. In the meantime consider the points below to help refocus your thoughts and actions – but definitely do not feel bad about having goals.

  • when someone has a negative influence over any aspect of your life, you’re giving them power over you – and yes at times it can hold you back.
  • establish healthy boundaries with the people around you and assume responsibility for your emotions, not theirs.
  • follow your values at all times and realize that youre always making choices. you should be doing things for you and not to prove yourself to other people.
  • do not waste Time complaining or thinking about bad interactions.

Let’s all focus on pursuing our own meaningful goals and appreciate we each want different things out of life and be A-OK! with that.
