2.Stop Relying On Motivation

– Time to halt that reliance on ‘Motivation to get your pretty lil feet to the gym or a routine because that’s a sure way to not stay consistent. Decide today make that choice today that this ‘fitness journey’ is what you are going to do. I find that keeping my focus on my WHY I want this for myself, helps.

3. Set Realistic Goals

– Change doesn’t happen overnight! It takes time, so give yourself that. It’s super important to have a plan for your goals. Schedule your workouts and calendar it in. Make it NON-NEGOTIABLE, SHOW UP for each session every day.

Why it’s hard to stay consistent you ask? One could lack consistency because maybe from doing the same ol’ thing. What help me stay consistent, is change. Change constantly, not only on the workouts that i do but also on its intensity and method of my physical activity. Furthermore I think a main reason as to why many quit working out is that they want fast results, but, they lack a solid system to keep them accountable. For me, consistency is not a natural skill. It comes with practice – lots of it.

Push Through

When I started, everyday was a battle until I adapted. If you’re struggling to stay consistent in the gym don’t worry, you’re completely normal. Intense physical activity isn’t something humans necessarily enjoy, we’ve evolved to always choose the path of least resistance. Yeah so cut yourself some slack!
